Abstract: Intermediate mass-ratio coalescences (IMRACs) are potential signals of ground-based and space-based gravitational observatories. Much semi-analytical work is required in the upcoming years to deduce their waveforms to required accuracy for precision tests within general relativity. In this paper, we present analytic results to the Teukolsky perturbation around a high spin black hole including spin coupling and finite size effects. We find scaling behavior close to the smallest specific angular momentum, and we discuss features of spin and quadrupole couplings.

A short bio: Dr. Jiang Long is a postdoctoral researcher in Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics. Before this role, he was a postdoctoral fellow in Universite libre de Bruxelles. Jiang works on varies topics in theoretical physics, including holography, entanglement, black holes and gravitational waves. Jiang holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Peking University.
