简历:Prof. Peter Nordlander obtained his PhDdegree in Theoretical Physics at Chalmers University of
Technology inGothenburg in Sweden in 1985. After postdoctoral positions at IBM Thomas J.Watson
Research Center at Yorktown Heights (USA), AT&T Bell Laboratories atMurray Hill (USA), and Rutgers
University he joined the faculty at Rice Universityin 1989 and is currently Professor of Physics and
Astronomy and Professor ofElectrical and Computer Engineering. He has been a Visiting Professor
atUniversity of Paris and at the Institute of Physics at the Chinese Academy ofSciences. He is currently a
Visiting Professor at Peking University. Hisresearch background is in theoretical condensed matter
physics and nanophysics.His current research is focused on the theoretical and computational
modelingof Plasmonics and Nanophotonics phenomena. He is an associate editor of ACSNano. He is a
fellow of APS, AAAS, SPIE, and OSA and is the recipient of the1999 Charles Duncan Award for
Outstanding Academic Achievement, the 2013 WillisE. Lamb Award for Laser Science and Quantum
Optics, and the 2014 Frank IsaksonPrize for Optical Effects in Solids. He has published more than 200
refereedarticles, given more than 300 invited presentations at internationalconferences and workshops,
and has been cited more than 15,000 times with a Webof Science h-index in the 70s.
